Sometimes you just want to try something a bit different. After shooting the light show at the Eiffel Tower one evening, I was walking back to my hotel, and passed under the tower itself. I thought I would try a motion blur and just see how it came out. This is a 2.5 second exposure at f11 taken with my 12-24 mm 2.8. I slowly turned the zoom as I shot. Sometimes these shots work, sometimes they don’t. But once you have the standard shots or have worked through your primary shot list for a location, try something different–they might just end up being keepers.
